Lets take a look at this. Typical Singaporeans are 'kiasu' right? So they are always get their money's worth ya? But wait look at this. Look at Singaporean students. Most of them just want to play and they dislike studying. Yet they are paying for their school fees. Hmm..I guess that they aren't feeling the pain as they are not the ones paying for the school fees it is their parents that are paying for their school fees.
So back to the getting their money's worth. Since they are 'kiasu' shouldn't they be trying to absorb whatever that they can in their lessons? Okay you might say, they are still young. But let's say Poly students. They are all at least 17 years old and above so they are considerably mature people. But look at them they are either skipping classes or sleeping in classes and best of all playing in classes.
They are just wasting their own money ya? Oh I should say their parents' money. Just because they want to have fun they don't have to do it in classes ya? I mean like there are time to be serious and there are time to have fun. They shouldn't be acted at the same time. They should be done of at separate times. There are time to be serious and time to have fun. They should know their limits. Since they are considerably mature people, they should know that money are not easy to earn let alone knowledge.
Okay so my conclusion. Typical Singaporeans are 'kiasu' only towards things that are beneficial to them. Suckers.
