The fact is yes we have. Big companies like AIA itself are aware of such uprising issue. They do have a programme for the youths namely, Youth Saving Programme. I feel that this is such a mockery to us.
Have we youths not been educated enough? After years of education, are we ready to be extra competent in the workforce? Or is it that the education system in Singapore is just merely studying of books for the students?
What have we youths been over spending on? Most on entertainment I can see. Why? Is it that we have the "bo chap" attitude? Or are the homeworks too little? Even if we got too much homework many still wouldn't do.
I think MOE can't see this point. If one enjoys the process, the more one understand. I believe we need more entertainment even in class. To have a fun class, who wouldn't want? I believe if the class is fun, the attendance will be 100% everytime. If such a thing can happen at the very start of one's first day of school in life, I believe going to school will have a whole new meaning.
In order to achieve this, we have to be open. But the fact is Singaporeans are not open enough. I think the government is not ready to accept and use new concepts.
I've read something like this somewhere.
I hear that Singaporean's Chinese is not good in the papers. But months later, I hear that Singaporean's English is not good in the papers. So what are they good at?
Such things happen and the government blames it on the student for not working hard enough and puts them in more enrichment classes. Why don't they sit down and review their education system once in a whole? Did they went to each and every school personally and try and perceive what we students would feel like in classes? Why is the government involved in so many foreign affairs when they can't even get things right internally? Have they seen loopholes in their command and control?......
There are so much things to say. So much things to be heard. But they won't be answered. Even if this are heard, I'll be prosecuted.
